Chile Tepin wants every guest to be able to use chile-tepin.com, including people who rely on assistive technology. We are committed to making the Site accessible and to improving it over time.
Our approach
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as the standard for this Site. Steps we have taken include:
- Clear heading structure and descriptive page titles so screen readers can navigate the page.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, including our logo and team photo.
- Labeled form fields on the reservation form, with error messages announced to assistive technology.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, buttons, and menu categories.
- Color contrast chosen to keep text readable on our dark and cream backgrounds.
- Reduced-motion support: animated elements are disabled when your device requests reduced motion.
- A responsive layout that works on phones, tablets, and desktops, and supports browser zoom.
Known limitations
- The embedded Google Map and the third-party online ordering platform are operated by other companies; their accessibility is outside our direct control. Our address, hours, and phone number are also provided as plain text on the home page.
- Menu photographs are decorative representations of dishes; the full item names and descriptions are provided as text.
